Away From Culloden

Away From Culloden: "A fictional account of the lives of the Brothers Angus and Hamish MacLean". Driven from their homeland in Scotland after the battle of Culloden in 1745, they are forced to travel in secrecy trying not to be caught by the English Army. After a horrific voyage across the great Atlantic our main characters find themselves in Albany New York and then make their way further into the fought over territories of the Great Mohawk river and beyond. We follow our main characters as they become landowners in their own right and follow their lives with keen interest. The characters reenact with inhabitants of the area which takes them to many challenges. With war looming around the corner between the French and English...we are swept away along the Mohawk river as the brothers contend with neighbors and friends. We hope with them for survival during the first attacks upon the settlers homes and along the frontier known as the Oniden Carry.
