Architects: Photographic Essay

Architects is a photographic essay made by the architect, urban planner - and also photographer - Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta over forty years, in twenty countries. It joins images of one hundred and fifty buildings, built in the last twenty-five centuries, created by two hundred architects. The essay shows works by Agrippa, Leonardo da Vinci, Carlo Maderno, Bernini, Michelangelo, Giotto, Palladio, Leon Battista Alberti, Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Santiago Calatrava, Frank Gehry, Oscar Niemeyer, lvaro Siza Vieira, Eeno Saarinen, Eduardo Kneese de Mello, Raul Lino, Mario Botta, Ricardo Bofill, S rgio Bernardes, Arata Isozaki, Max Bill, Marcel Breuer, Dominique Perrault, Bernard Tschumi, Daniel Libeskind, Norman Foster and Yoshio Taniguchi among many more. Started in the 1970s, this big photographic essay was made in Brazil, Portugal, Switzerland, the United States, Spain, Argentina, Germany, England, Monaco, Italy, France, Hungary, Belgium, San Marino, Lichtenstein, Slovenia, Canada, Bangladesh, Cape Verde, Seychelles, Japan, Austria, Morocco and Israel. It is a fabulous adventure, a true visual history of the Western architecture.
