Miss McMurrich's book is the result of many years' experience in teaching anatomy to students of occupational and physical therapy. In her introductory chapter, she endeavours to clarify for beginners any difficulties in the subject matter, and to condense for the advanced reader the existing knowledge on muscle action. Her main contention is that the application of craft-work, games or exercises for the restoration of function can be varied indefinitely if the therapist's knowledge of muscle action and co-ordination is sound.
