Requiring 800 pages, in two volumes this work traces nearly 1400 families from Charlemagne, 1st Holy Roman Emperor. In Volume one the first 31 generations of Charlemagne's descendants are traced. Volume two continues with generations 32 through 40. All of the families are listed in the introduction.
