A Century of Irish Radio 1900 -2000

The first comprehensive history of Irish radio from Marconi's early experiments in the early 1900's to Ireland becoming the first nation in the world to be declared by radio in 1916 and through the colourful and varied history of Irish pirate radio that ultimately created the Irish radio industry that exists today. The story is transnational with border blasters and both State and illegal stations broadcasting into other jurisdictions and when in many instances cash was at the heart of woes and successes.
