From 2011 to 2020, Bert S. Lechner was emotionally and psychologically abused by a romantic partner. This is the collection of poems he wrote to help him navigated the guilt, shame, anger, and loss that he encountered after escaping that relationship.

It is a journey of survival, healing, and, over time, thriving after an extended period of trauma.
