WHY Are You SO Quiet?

"Why are you so quiet?" is the question Tristan Elliott has dreaded their whole life.

After years of being shamed for being too quiet and not speaking enough, Tristan discovered spoken word poetry. Tristan wrote their first spoken word piece, "WHY are you SO Quiet," out of frustration with the way the world responds to them, and without realizing that's what they were creating. They knew what they had to say was bigger than the words on the page and that it wanted to be spoken.

That first poem led to a year of spoken word pieces and performances, twelve of which (one for each month) are contained in this volume.
