Arkady Fielder (1894-1985) was a Polish writer, journalist, and adventurer. He wrote 32 books translated into 23 languages. He traveled broadly but had a special attachment to the region of the Orinoco where he returned repeatedly, and where, for some time, he lived among the Arawak Indians of the Orinoco Delta. And from them he first heard the tale of the mysterious White Jaguar.
