When the Dust Settles

Before Brad's death he had placed the mysteries of their lives into a trunk and hid it in the back of his closet. Just hours before he died, he insisted that his little sister Ashley leave the hospital and find the trunk in the back of the closet and hide it. "Everything in the trunk is for you, Ashley, and only you," he told her. "All the answers that you have been seeking, you will find in the trunk. Promise me that you will always remember, that the only way for you, or anyone, to truly understand and see things clearly is.... When the Dust Settles. Ashley kept her promise and hid the trunk until after the funeral when everyone had left. Then Ashley, with her dog Prince, sat down on the floor in Brad's apartment. She slowly opened the trunk. And all of their lives' mysteries began to unfold.
