Wendigo

Algernon Blackwood's ‘The Wendigo’ is an influential novella, a masterful tale, and a classic of the fantasy and horror genres. It is written by one of the most best-known writers of fantasy and horror, set in a place and time Blackwood knew well. Blackwood was an English short story writer and novelist, one of the most prolific writers of ghost stories in the history of the genre.
It tells the story of a camping trip in the Canadian wilderness that goes wrong when the hunters become the hunted. Drawing on the mythical creature known as the Wendigo, this story is regarded by many critics to be one of the best horror tales of all time.
