This memoir shares the early, troubled years of the author's wife and transitions to their first meeting, relationship, and marriage. They supported each other's dreams and found a romance neither had ever experienced before. Dementia, Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), interrupted their love story. The author devotedly cared for his wife until her passing. He weaves in journals, letters, and media posts and lays bare their life through her incurable disease. While much of the book provides care partner tips, mileposts, and raw observations, it is first, a love story.
