University Development Project in Morocco

The development of the Moroccan university is a priority in national policy, in order to fulfill its role as a place of knowledge and culture, and to meet the needs of the economic and industrial market as a source of skills, the elite and the citizens of tomorrow. The major challenge facing Moroccan universities is to provide the country's various socio-economic sectors with the skills they need to implement the government's "policy of major projects", embodied in sectoral development plans, programs, projects and strategies: Pacte national pour l' mergence industrielle et nouveaux m tiers mondiaux du Maroc (Offshoring, automotive, aeronautics and space, electronics, textiles and leather, agri-food); Plan AZUR, Plan Maroc Vert ... These skills needs require more students to be oriented towards scientific, technical and vocational branches.
