Understanding the Pieces is a heartwarming story of an autistic girl who has to navigate her way through her feelings as well as her first day of school. Layla-Marie is a non-verbal autistic girl who deals with a lot of emotions within her first day of school. Not being able to express herself with words brings on a whole new challenge for Layla-Marie. Follow her as she embarks on her first day of school and overcomes the many emotions associated with it. This is a eye openings story for the entire family which allows us to embrace differences of the world we live in.
