Shaker Wells and Emmy Sue are perfect yellow Labrador Retriever pups who have attributes that make them unique among their species. Together with their 'Pop, ' they banter about and seriously examine a great variety of things human, such as rights and who has any and how did they get them, suicide as way to solve a problem, cats, aesthetics, acrophobia, cremation of pets, Christianism, the ACLU, the ADF, dead animals beside the road, bigotry, Shakerism, god's attributes, carnivores, the murder of deers and other innocent animals, betrayal, old age, human arrogance, cruelty, and silliness, &c.
