Traditionally Speaking ...

Have you ever wondered, just what are traditions? What constitutes a tradition? Are they like antiques and required to be a certain age in order to qualify? There have been times when I have wondered if there is much difference between traditions, rituals and habits. When I think of traditions, I must think of that wonderful musical, "Fiddler of the Roof." One of the most outstanding quotes of the character Tevye is this, "You may ask, how did this tradition get started? I'll tell you. I don't know." This thought, according to my view, is part of the magic of traditions.
