Tho Material, Why Not Immortal?

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. In the Andover Review for September, 1887, was published an article of mine entitled If Material, Why Mortal? At various times since then I have given numerous reprints to friends and have been frequently Offered sug gestions that it be amplified and published in book form. Among these was an eminent and well-known Bishop who, like various other clerical friends, could see nothing in it antagonistic to the Christian religion.
