The Time of the Word

The Confessions of Saint Augustine is one of the best-known texts of antiquity. For this reason, many studies and works have already been carried out on this work. However, little has been explored about the relationship between this work and the historical context in which the Bishop of Hippo was inserted. For this reason, this book aims to analyse the components of Augustine's autobiographical account, seeking to understand how it reflects and influences Western Christian tradition.
