What would you do if an enormous woman in a black rubber dress crashed through your bedroom window and broke your TV? Would you scream?
That's precisely what happens to the boy in this story. And... he screams.
Siggistebbi is teensy. He has been in his room for years and barely goes further than the toilet. One day, he lies in a stupor in bed playing video games when a bouncing woman suddenly crashes through his bedroom window, lands on his television, and smashes it. The woman is Mrs. Fribbentropp. Unlike Siggistebbi, who is so scrawny that he needs to order clothes from abroad, Mrs. Fribbentropp is so large that she can't sit in a car without something breaking. Siggistebbi follows Mrs. Fribbentropp outside, for the first time in a long time, to get a new television. But events take an unexpected turn. It turns out that an evil sorcerer has kidnaped Mrs. Fribbentropp's husband, and without having anything to say about it, Siggistebbi is on his way to the Sahara desert in a flying boat. But this is only the beginning of the terrific, terrifying journey, for it becomes more terrific and more terrifying with each step. To get through it, they must muster all their strength - and then some.

The story was written by father and son, Ulfur and Gudmundur, when the former was nine years old. At the time, they lived in different parts of the country but worked together and independently to create this exciting adventure. This was primarily intended as a fun way for the father and son to do something enjoyable together. But when D.J., Ulfur's younger brother, turned 9, he read the story and realized it could not go unpublished. It was so entertaining and thrilling that it simply had to be released. So the father dusted the story and polished it up a bit. Now it's available for everyone who wants to read about The Terrific Terrifying Journey.
