Humphrey van Weyden, a literary critic, finds himself shipwrecked and rescued by a sealing schooner commanded by the enigmatic and brutal Captain Wolf Larsen. JACK LONDON [1876-1916] was an American author who, during his short life, wrote a total of 49 novels and numerous short stories. Before his debut, he had been a hobo, sailor, and gold prospector. The novels Martin Eden, The Iron Heel, and The Sea-Wolf were burned during the book burnings around Nazi Germany in 1933.
