The Reading Star

Sam, who has autism, DOES NOT like to read books. One night, Sam's Reading Star pays him a visit. The Reading Star, who comes from the Land of Books, takes Sam on an enchanting journey to show him the wonders that reading can offer. This picture book was originally created as part of an undergraduate thesis, which discussed how early exposure to reading positively influences language. The Reading Star is meant to encourage literacy in children with language-related disorders, like autism, and to facilitate joint reading to all children.
