The Montessori Method

This book is Montessori's own explanation of the theory behind her innovative education techniques. She shows parents, teachers and administrators how to "free a child to learn from his own efforts". It stresses the importance of adapting a child's learning environment to his or her developmental level, and the role of physical activity in absorbing abstract concepts and practical skills.
