The Lonely Sea Lion recounts the adventures ofSkully, a sea lion who has reached the age of maturity and must leave his home at the Sea Lion Cave. Swimming north up the Oregon coast, he reaches the Columbia River Bar, which changes the course of his destiny. Two teenage boys, Caleb and Sergio, traveling with their grandmother, discover Skully at themoment his adventure begins. This is the story of how their lives intertwine.Visiting distant lands has always held a greatfascination for the author. This story is set in thebeautiful state of Oregon. Each state has its ownuniqueness with its own cast of characters. Each one also has its own lessons to teach, if one would but listen and learn.The author has always loved writing, but her lifeweaved across many paths before reaching a placewhere writing could be prioritized. She feels fortunate to have spent much of her life serving children in the public schools in Arizona.
