The Implementation of Youth Law in the Drc

In this book, we summarise the content of this study and analyse the effective implementation of youth law in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in the context of the political integration of young people. This involves examining: The reforms undertaken in the legal and institutional framework for youth. Despite the reforms undertaken, the effective implementation of youth law in the DRC continues to face major challenges: Development of legislation and public policies dedicated to youth; Strengthening of institutions and mechanisms of youth governance. The challenges and obstacles encountered in the concrete implementation of these reforms such as: Inadequate budgets and resources allocated to youth programmes, low involvement, participation and effective integration of young people in political processes, and lack of coordination and synergy between the various initiatives in favour of young people. Prospects and avenues for improvement for better political integration of young people: strengthening of the legal framework.
