Modern Arabic prose has developed greatly over the course of a century and a half. Its purposes and colors have multiplied, its horizons and forms have expanded, and the Arabic language has developed with it, emerging from its previous stagnation to keep pace with modern civilization and incoming cultures, especially in the humanities, and it has appeared in various fields of prose. From articles, stories, letters, and plays, and the books of a large number of notables who enriched Arab literature with their productions, and were the adornment of their era, every way of thinking and expression, and the sources of culture.The author says: Tracing this emergence and development in their early stages was not easy, but it was fortunate for me that I had traced this emergence before in my book "Modern Literature," and I tried to make the previous study more clear by providing examples as much as I could, even if the place was This prevented me from expanding on these models and studying them to the extent that I had hoped, and I found in my hands a wealth of prose works worthy of study, and a large number of great writers in the genres that I chose to study, especially since I tried to trace this emergence in Egypt, Iraq and the Levant in order to give a clear picture.
