Bookmobiles have become popular again, and this anthology—the first monograph on bookmobiles to be published in over 25 years—explains why—as well as the what, where, when, and how of successful mobile library programs. Thirty-six experienced authors share their insight and ideas in this valuable and practical guide. The book is divided into four sections: 'In Defense of Bookmobiles;' 'Mobile Services Administration;' vehicles and equipment; and services to special populations.
