The Big Fix

This book identifies the key issues facing us as a nation. It discusses them in context: how they got here, what they mean, how we can fix them, and what are the impediments to moving forward. Broken into three categories, The Big Fix starts by identifying the US's new place in the global economy and then segues into our biggest challenges (everything from education and health care policies to infrastructure and urbanization planning) and concludes with making the most out of resources, from water and energy to our workforce. Throughout the book, Velshi challenges the reader to both address the consequences of inaction and find a role for him or her to take action.
