The Betting Shop

Recession has hit hard for everyone in 2008 and it's no different for married ladies' man, Vince Lavender and his ex-footballer friend, Luke Devine. So the opportunity to make quick cash with a bit of small-time robbery is something the men can't turn down and Vince's younger brother Mark is also involved in the scheme. But things don't quite go as planned for the trio, especially the unfortunate Mark: they are soon caught up in a tangled web of deceit, murder, debt and dodgy property deals in both the UK and Spain. To add to the confusion the boy's father Gerry Lavender goes missing and local hard man Ronnie Smith is looking for revenge for the robbery in one of his shops.
