The author of this book is Al -Hussein bin Ahmed bin Khalwayh, Abu Abdullah, a linguist of the great grammarians. Its origin is from Hamatan. He visited Yemen and stayed with a period, and moved to the Levant, so Aleppo settled and glorified his fame, so the sons of Hamdan were highly status. He had with Al -Mutanabbi councils and detectives at Saif al -Dawla, and Saif al -Dawla entrusted him with disciplining his children. He died in Aleppo.
