Pe timpuri n nopțile senine de vară se vedea cerul spuzit de stele. Acum nu se mai vede pe cer nici măcar lumina luceafărului de dimineață. Un văl de ntuneric acoperă ochii omului care explorează galaxii ndepărtate dar și-a pierdut vederea spirituală și nu mai poate vedea pe cer steaua strălucitoare care a prevestit lumii nașterea Domnului. Dumnezeu nsă aprinde n candelele inimilor celor care l caută o lumină pe care ntunericul nu o poate birui. Acea lumină dumnezeiască increată răvășește ntunericul lăuntric și cel de pe cer spre a ilumina calea pelerinilor să poată vedea ncotro merg. In past times, on clear summer nights, one could see the starry sky. Now, not even the light of the morning star can be seen in the sky. A veil of darkness covers the eyes of man who explores distant galaxies but has lost his spiritual sight and can no longer see in the sky the bright star that foretold the birth of the Lord in the world. But God rekindles in the candles of the hearts of those who seek him a light that darkness cannot overcome. That gladsome divine light dispels the inner darkness of man and the darkness of the sky to illuminate the path for the pilgrims so that they can see where they are going.
