Teamwork in Neurology

Rehabilitation of adults with acquired neurological impairment is a vast area of clinical practice. It taps the expertise of many different health care professionals, and this has led to the multidisciplinary or "team" approach to assessment, treatment and management. However, clients frequently complain of the failure of professionals to meet their needs in a co-ordinated way. Not only do professionals need to form an intergrated team, but this team must involve the client as a primary member of this team.
