Tactual Perception

Recent advances in our understanding of the ways in which people obtain information about the world through their hand and skin sense have important practical implications for work with sensorily impaired children and adults. This volume draws together the threads of many studies, both historical and recent, to present the first systematic overview of current knowledge about tactual-haptic perception. It will be a valuable reference text for a wide variety of psychologists and other students of perception as well as for all those involved in the education of the blind and deaf.
