Sustainable Enterprise: A Conversation about the Future

This edition contains some of the proceedings of a conference held in October 2007 at the Eden Project in Cornwall, UK, on sustainable enterprise. Sustainable enterprise calls for more than the current rules of engagement (for corporate citizenship and corporate social responsibility) by calling on all enterprises in whatever sector and however constituted to operate within environmentally sustainable limits, to lower their ecological footprint, to enhance social equity, and to develop a sense of futurity. The papers in this issue each offer a different window into a sustainable-enterprise future, and describe journeys towards that future from very different starting points.
