Something of Value: A Comic-drama in Two Acts

Jay Cronley, a brilliant engineer working for a defense contractor in Newport, RI, has everything going for him: a patent on a new torpedo that's going to make him rich, a lovely and loving fianc e, an Ivy League education and an unlimited future. Things couldn't be better. But things are subject to change. And everything changes when Jay takes in a homeless woman and her 12-year-old daughter for a single night. This simple act of kindness shown to Nora Jensen and her daughter turns Jay's world upside down and forces him to examine the values he was taught as a child. When Nora is diagnosed with breast cancer, he must decide if he is willing to risk everything he holds dear to help a woman he hardly knows.
