Once the days of glory have passed and the cheers have faded, what becomes of the man who was that youthful athlete? What became of the slim pitcher with the blazing fastball or the muscular, young batter who could drive that same pitch to the deepest part of the ballpark? Life goes on. Time waits for no man. SO MANY SUMMER FIELDS allows us to visit with a few of these former ballplayers or their surviving family members to see for ourselves.
