Skokloster : reflections of a great era
A magnificent portrait of Skokloster, the largest private building project in Sweden during the 17th century. The owner, Count Carl Gustaf Wrangel, was a field marshal in the Swedish army and was to become one of the most renowned men of the century. The building of the house was a grandiose presentation of himself and his family. The collections of weapons, books, tools, paintings and art treasures are portrayed in beautiful colour photographs by Ralf Turander and in texts by Museum Curator Bengt Kylsberg.
