Shipboard Prayers

Competent sailing authorities have long held that some faith in an omnipotent deity is integral to the mindset of successful sea voyagers. Here, for perhaps the FIRST time in print, is a sensible collection of necessary and helpful prayers, adapted to the special needs of the cruising family or small-yacht crew, distanced by circumstances from attending regular worship services while at sea.

The forms include:
- Morning, Matins, Vespers and Compline;
- Intercession for the sick or injured;
- Collects (short prayers) for use with the above or alone;
- Supplication during storms at sea;

Drawn from the conservative Anglican tradition, the prayers herein will be accessible and palatable to all believers in Jesus Christ who take to the sea. All that is needed is a will to follow the LORD, a copy of the Bible (a necessity on every vessel) and this little book.
