Selections from English stories

These stories were chosen by a group of British and American writers, and the selection was taken into account to highlight the writer''s style and artistic characteristics, not to entertain the reader. The distinguished writer Ibrahim Abdul Qadir Al-Mazni sought in the translation the same as what was taken into account in the selection, that is, to highlight the style of the writer and not the style of the translator. This was not easy, nor was his request easy due to the extreme disparity. He was keen to adhere to the original so that we could say that the translation is literal to the extent that this is possible in transferring from one language to another, in terms of the difference between Arabic and English. .
