An ancient vampire going by the name of Hugh Jass finds a dying young man in the parking garage of his friends hotel. Mattias had been savagely attacked by another vampire and in a fit of mercy Hugh decides to turn the young man in order to save his life. After two months in a transformative coma Mattias awakens, shackled to an endless hunger but loaded with other perks. Like an attitude filled familiar, a library genie, and a gaggle of siblings who can't wait to meet him or put him in his place. Not to mention Hugh himself, acting as a self appointed father figure ready to guide Mattias forward.
