Rituals in the forest kindergarten

Författare:
Engelska
This book is dedicated to the topic of rituals in forest kindergartens. It explores questions such as how and which rituals are created by the participants in forest kindergartens, what significance ritual practices have in the everyday life of forest kindergartens, and how the special spatial and material conditions and the ritualised everyday life interact with each other. Various theoretical concepts and ritual theories are first explained and then used to analyse the observation protocols: the concept of performativity according to Fischer-Lichte (2013) based on Butler (1990) and the explanation of the performative turn according to Wulf and Zirfas (2007). Theoretical points of reference also include the assumption of mimetic learning according to Gebauer and Wulf (1998), the ritual theories according to van Gennep and Turner (2000), and Bourdieu's concept of ritual (1990). The findings of the Berlin ritual studies by Wulf et al. (2001, 2004, 2007, 2011) are also included. A summary of the most important findings regarding the research questions rounds off this deliberately anti-intentional and anti-normative study.
