Of course, if you have the money, it is easy to buy in a block from the great photograph-publishers prints of the statuary in the Chief museums of Europe and the voluminous publications issued at Munich but such wholesale buying will not be very satisfactory and will merely land you in a colossal Chaos. The original of the famous Fawn of Praxiteles was destroyed ages ago, but there exist some seventy copies of the whole or parts of it - heads, torsos, and so forth, and they are by no means all in the great museums. Some are better than others; some are quite unimportant. The photographs of the figure there fore need careful selection and careful grouping and annotation. It is work for an expert.
