Revisiting Native American Ministry: & Keys to Partner More Effectively

What is the result of thinking that people must become like us in order to follow Jesus? What is the outcome when we have a narrow vision of God's purposes and do not see His plan for every nation, tribe, tongue and culture to worship and glorify God in all of their uniqueness? One answer is the traumatic and painful legacy which has been created among the First Nations peoples of North America, and all indigenous peoples throughout the world The idea that a people must reject their own culture and join another's in order to fully obey and follow Jesus is one of the most foundational errors in mission strategy, and it is still going on today. The purpose of this book is to revisit ministry among Native Americans and to highlight 5 keys that will not only address the errors of the past, but as Native Americans rise up to fulfill their God-given destiny, also facilitate more effective partnering with the non-native Church in order that God's Kingdom purposes might be realized.
