Rescue

Parenting teenagers is rocky and uncertain even in the best of times. The culture engulfing our children is one that promotes everything that Christian values take a stand against. I have seen countless examples of young men and women who have fallen prey to the lies of society, and, as a mother, I have decided enough is enough. Rescue addresses issues facing families today, from teen pregnancy to homosexuality, and it is a guiding light to parents trying to navigate the waters of raising teens. As we all try to make a way in this world, we will all make mistakes. The beauty of Rescue is that it addresses the family as a whole and is written not just from my point of view, but also from the views of young people who are not far removed from adolescence. By providing these two different perspectives, I believe this book opens the door for better understanding and increased communication across the generational lines. Rescue gives parents the information they need to swim confidently into the murky waters of parenting teens. As the parent of a teenager or more than one, you will have to be able to function in heavy seas. You will be submerged, required to hold your breath at times, and you will be tossed by twenty-foot waves all while your teen is sorting out their identity in Christ, place in your family, beliefs on sex, the rapidly changing technology and culture, and preparation for the future.
