I read carefully and passionately the book of Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Al-Rifai: "Religion and Ontological Thirst." I started reading the introduction, but I couldn''t stop, so I was drawn to reading the entire book. It is an exciting travel that carries within it a sentimental heart full of love and faith, and a mature, deep, luminous and sincere thought. His words express himself to himself and to others. It is an experience of life and faith in every sense of the word, and is not a regurgitation of ancestors, nor a repetition of rigid rituals, nor a false religiosity. I hope that every Muslim and Christian cleric reads this book, so that he may have the courage of the prophets in conveying the message of faith to people. This book is a painful cry in the face of bitter reality. It is a call to the conscience of every Muslim and Christian believer. He hopes, and I also hope, that it will find some echo in our lives, and that Dr.''s voice will not continue. Al-Rifai is alone until the end. Rather, I expect that he will form around him a school of students of thought, faith, light, love, and goodness, so that he will restore to religion its essence and purity from those who kidnapped and distorted it.
