Promises

MP Kollman's Promises is the second in the third of three linked trilogies that make up the Brothers series and takes place seven years after Brothers, the first book in the first trilogy of the series. Promises deals with a promise made before Kevin Grayson joined the Bureau of Drug Enforcement seventeen years ago. But that promise was given to someone who didn't deserve it. And the one caveat, that he stay out of Milwaukee as long as he remained with the Bureau, is no longer valid. Now that he has retired, he returns to regain the evidence against Lucias Chandler he gave away all those years ago. And once again, he has taken on this plan without telling his wife. However, when she receives the monthly statement from their bank and discovers he's absconded with half a million dollars, it doesn't take long for her and his former boss, Jeff Hand, to figure out what he's up to. And it's vastly more dangerous than any of his previous assignments.
