Our journey
Our journey will take readers from the prehistoric times to the modern city of Vantaa, from the sea-shore to riverbanks, from villages to city neighbourhoods and from highways to the skies. Our journey originated from OUR JOURNEY – from Helsinge to Vantaa, the exhibition opened at the Vantaa City Museum in 2009.
This book is a general history of the Vantaa region and features plenty of images. Vantaa’s colourful history touches people in an area far larger that is contained within the borders of the present-day Vantaa; it really is the history of the entire Helsinki region.
