Operational risks can occur on a day-to-day basis as part of a common activity, but they can also occur very occasionally and in a devastating way in extreme cases. Given the diversity of operational risk manifestations, the measures presented in this report provide a complete overview of how to understand and reduce them. In order to be able to appreciate them in detail, it is absolutely necessary to understand their contours and therefore to have targeted training or awareness, i.e. adapted to the professions concerned. Of course, these measures, although regulatory, go far beyond the sole objectives of compliance or calculation of equity capital and are more in line with a real dynamic of securing the business. This is what is at stake in an operational risk management and monitoring approach. The banking world continues to adjust its expectations in the light of years of experience. Operational risk approaches mature and evolve over time.
