Bola o in the first person: a unique opportunity to "hear" the voice and opinions of an author who is a true contemporary literary legend.

This volume brings together a selection of interviews given by Roberto Bola o from his early years in Mexico, when he experienced literature as rebellion and a break with the system through infrarealism, to those given days before his death.

Through these texts, we witness something that is no longer possible outside of literature: we can hear him talk about poetry, his readings, his work, his colleagues, his life... We observe how a poet transforms into a novelist, and how a writer who ekes out a meager living from his writing in his early days begins to transform into what he is today: an international literary legend.

Bola o is at times scathing and critical, but at other times he is funny, tender, and very human. And always brilliant.
