No More Silence: There is Safety

Today's society presents many challenges to living. There is so much stress and pressure to conform to societal norms and what man says is better for us. Even in the church, there are control issues that no one wants to admit or address. Life's pressures can cause a chemical imbalance which can eventually lead to medical illness, requiring counseling and/or medication. As believers, when this happens, we often rely on prayer and our church leader to get us through. When this does not work, what do we do next? Prayer changes things, but we must understand that mental illness is more than a spiritual issue; it is a physical issue that may require both spiritual and physical interventions.
