Molly Pitcher: The Woman Who Fought the War

This book focuses on Molly Pitcher who took part in the Battle of Monmouth and attended to the Revolutionary soldiers and artillerymen by giving them water during heavy fire from the British troops. She then took her husband's place at the cannon after he was wounded and carried him off the battlefield. Her generosity, courage and strength was insurmountable and inspired her fellow citizens.
