Modelling the P-47 Thunderbolt

Affectionately nicknamed 'Jug,' the P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the most famous fighter aircraft of WWII. Nearly 16,000 P-47s were built during the course of the war and they served in Europe, the Pacific, the CBI and even over the Eastern Front. This widespread service ensured that it amassed more kills than any other US fighter type in World War II.
